Here are my fantasy picks for Glendale Supercross this weekend. These may change after seeing how qualifying goes, but for now, here are my picks.
250
- Adam Cianciarulo: Adam will be my all-star rider and has a handicap of 3. If he gets 4th or better he will get max points. I feel confident that Adam can finish top 4 this weekend.
- Jean Ramos: To my understanding Jean has made every main event so far this year so it isn’t too crazy to pick him. He has a handicap of 9 which means he doesn’t have to do that great to earn good points. I will most likely switch this pick to another privateer who does well in qualifying and has a higher handicap but we will have to wait and see.
- Justin Hoeft: Justin has shown the speed of a 10th place rider for most of this season but bad starts have held him back. He had a terrible round last week but if he can bounce back and finish where he belongs I think he is a great pick especially considering he has a handicap of 7
- Ryan Breece: Ryan has been putting in good results so far this season and with a handicap of 9 I think he is a good pick. For me to keep Ryan in my fantasy picks I will need him to finish top 20 in qualifying or I will likely replace him with another privateer with a high handicap who I think has a decent chance of making the main.
450
- Blake Baggett: Blake is my all-star rider this week and has a handicap of 7. He finished 7th last week and I think we can expect to see him in the top 5 in the near future.
- Broc Tickle: Broc had a terrible race last week but he is definitely still a great rider and will bounce back. He does not have a handicap but now he will be eligible for double points since he is not considered and all-star rider at this time. Broc is another rider who will find his way into the top 5 sometime soon.
- Chad Reed: I’m a little skeptical with this pick considering he is still trying to heal his ankle during the week in between races. The main reason I’m putting Chad in my fantasy picks this week is because he rode SO GOOD at Glendale last year earning himself a 2nd place finish. Chad has a handicap of 6 this week and if he could finish the main event in the top 13 (which is very possible) I will be happy.
- Jake Weimer: I’m skeptical with this pick too since this will be Jake’s first race since having a serious injury. He will have a handicap of 9 so for me to feel good about choosing him he would only need to finish around 17th or so which I think he can do. We will see if I stay with this pick after seeing how he does in qualifying.
